Today is Giving Tuesday, the day where many give monetary donations to a wide variety of non-profit organizations. However, I find it difficult to financial manage giving back this year, and many others probably do as well. But there are other ways to give back that are not specifically money.
Giving your time to an organization can be way more significant than money. If you can give some of your time to them by volunteering for a day or so, it’s a great way to give back that is also way more personal. Check out the websites of your organization of choice and see what their volunteer policies are.
Do you have come things cluttering up your house? They may be good donation materials for various organizations such as shelters, or specific campaigns like Toys for Tots, etc. If you are going to part with the item anyway, might as well give it to a cause.
Maybe you have very little time or stuff to give, but you can take a second to give some organizations a helpful share today on your Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. Even if you can’t directly give, you can help give them awareness and spread the word. This is especially helpful for smaller organizations or more niche ones too.
Do you have a way you like to give back? Let me know in the comments below.
