How To Stop Senioritis

senioritis

Now that I have officially entered my last year of college, the dreaded plague has loomed its head: senioritis. However, I don’t plan on succumbing to it, and here is how you can also stop senioritis.

Stay On Track

It is important to keep organized no matter what when in college, but it is especially important when senioritis starts to creep in. If you schedule everything out and keep to-do lists, it is easier to keep yourself accountable for our work.

Make Everything A Routine

Habits are harder to break, so when you take what you schedule and turn it into habits, you are more likely to stick to them and get work done.

Stay Positive

Senioritis works because it makes doing school work a burden and not worth your time. If you put a positive spin on your education, you’ll be more motivated to do it and less likely to succumb to senioritis.

Don’t Focus Too Much On Graduation

Senioritis comes out with the feeling of being done and not having to do all of the work you’re currently doing anymore. So the more you focus on graduation, the worse senioritis gets. Although it is all exciting, you have to push off the excitement to get the work done.

I totally had senioritis before I graduated–but mine was the very happy sort. The sort that says, no matter what, I’m graduating! I’m stress-free for the first time in 4 years! 😛 I think I had a lot of fun that last semester of college…not saying I recommend senioritis, but I don’t regret it, either. hahaha!

Senioritis is sooo real! I struggled through it in high school and in college and I was actually pregnant for part of my senior year in college! Surprised I graduated! But I’m glad I buckled down and did focus for it.
