This semester is the official start of my senior year, and the last 3 semesters of college. The time has gone by so fast that there are many things that I haven’t done that I really want to do. Thus, the senior year bucket list was born.
Now, my bucket list is specific to what my university offers and what I personally want to do, so it obviously won’t apply to many. But I am going to explain how I decided what goes on the list.
First, look back to what you wanted to do as a freshmen. Out of those things, what have you not accomplished? If you still want to do those things, add them to your senior bucket list.
Second, if there are some traditions at your school, you should add them because it will be your last opportunities to be involved in them.
Third, what are things you can do in college that you probably cannot do once out of it? If one of those things is something you want to do, add it to the list.
Those are my steps for making my personal list, because I did not want too many parameters and limit my options. So without further ado, here is my senior year bucket list.
Be In The Vagina Monologues
The Vagina Monologues is an event that my school does every year. It is a play put on in conjunction with a non-profit that helps women from domestic violence. I have watched the show twice and it is funny, informative, and important, so I want to be in it.
Get an Internship
Internships are a great way to get work experience, especially if you are aiming for a specific field of work. I have not done one thus far, so I find it important to do one while still in school.
Plan and Host a Campus Event
I get the opportunity to lead an organization that plans events for first years, so I actually get to plan and host events for the school, which is pretty cool.
Be More Involved
The past year I did not do much campus involvement beyond work and attending class, but now that I will be leaving soon I should really do more for my school, so being more involved is on my list.
Graduate with Honors
I wasn’t even aware my school had this and honored students at graduation until a friend of mine got it, so now it’s my goal to graduate with honors, which will help me stay focused on school when senioritis kicks in.
What would you include on your Senior Bucket List?
