Why I Dance

This post was originally posted on The Feminist Fatale and was shared with consent.

Pole dancing and other forms of exotic dancing have been synonymous with stripping in smoke filled rooms trying to make a living at a dirty activity. But, it is actually much more than that.

Why I Dance is a film that shows that pole dancing can be a sexually empowering activity. The dancers come from all sorts of different backgrounds, ages, and ethnicities and they are owning their bodies. They are expressing their sexuality and showing love for their bodies however they see fit, and I love it!

All of the ladies share their reasons for dancing, and it is really hard to argue against them. I believe these ladies are true feminist fatale’s, but what do you think?
