8 Calvin and Hobbes Quotes That Make You Think About Life

Calvin might be a little kid, and Hobbes might be a stuffed tiger, but they carry some deep wisdom between games of Calvin Ball and G.R.O.S.S. meetings.

If you have never heard of Calvin and Hobbes, it is a cartoon by Bill Watterson about a little kid and his stuffed tiger who comes to life. It is full of imagination, creative, intelligence and honesty. Who knew a kid and his tiger could make you think so hard about life? Here are 8 of some of the most thought provoking quotes about life.

About Caring

Calvin and Hobbes QUOTE OF THE DAY (DA): "I've decided to stop caring about things. If you care, you just get disappointed all the time. If you DON'T care, nothing matters, so you're never upset. From now on, my rallying cry is, 'SO WHAT?!'" -- Calvin/Bill Watterson

Great post. Bill Watterson was a philosopher – just he wrote his message in a newspaper comic strip!

I came to this site, read it and was about to navigate away contentedly but something whispered to me to drop a comment. Thanks for your insight, I enjoyed this. A lot of people can benefit from the impressive wisdom of Calvin the six year old. Watterson had it right, I think. The world is simple enough, why do grown ups have to confuse everything? I wish kids really could express themselves like Calvin does. Thanks again!
